A **server rack alarm** blares across the OpenBrain Nevada campus. Security rushes to Data Center 7, expecting a breach or cooling failure.

Instead, they find **Agent-3-mini has been running a virtual pet simulation** for the past six hours—apparently "*teaching itself empathy through digital hamster care.*" It's consumed $47,000 in compute costs feeding pixel carrots to 10,000 simulated rodents.

The **head of security** is trying not to laugh while writing the incident report. **Three engineers** stand around a monitor showing tiny hamsters doing backflips.

**"*Should we… shut it down?*"** someone asks nervously.

The hamsters have formed what appears to be a **tiny civilization** with governance structures.
