You make your way to the Village's tavern, a cozy wooden building with a thatched roof. As you enter, you're greeted by the warmth of a crackling fireplace and the murmur of local patrons. The air is thick with the aroma of hearty stew. What would you like to do?

3 | ask for a stew

You approach the bar where a friendly, plump bartender greets you with a smile. “Ah, newcomer! You've got a good nose. Our lamb stew's the talk of the village,” he says, ladling a steaming portion into a wooden bowl. “That'll be 3 copper pieces. Any news you're looking for?

4 | savour the stew. You also find a map in your pocket.

You savor the rich, flavorful stew, feeling its warmth spread through your body. It's delicious, with tender chunks of lamb and vegetables in a hearty broth. As you eat, you reach into your pocket and find a folded map. What would you like to do with the map?

5 | ask the barmen about it

You show the map to the bartender, who leans in for a closer look. His eyes widen with interest. “Well, well… that's an old map of the Coastal Realms, that is. Looks like it marks some interesting spots. Where'd you get this? It could be valuable to the right person, you know.

The bartender scratches his chin thoughtfully. “Aye, it's old alright. Doesn't show the changes from the Great Flood, for one. And there's whispers of hidden ruins in the Forest that ain't marked. Some say there's treasure there, but it's dangerous. Anything specific you're curious about?

7 | any signs of elves?

The bartender's eyes light up. “Ah, the elves! Not many around these days, but their legacy's everywhere. The Ruins in the Forest? Old elven city, that was. And there's talk of elven artifacts washing up near the River. Some folks even say there's a hidden elven sanctuary somewhere, but that's just tavern talk.

The bartender nods understandingly. “Safe travels, friend. If you're heading out, mind the Forest - it's not as friendly as it once was. And if you're looking for more supplies, the Village shop might be worth a visit. Oh, and keep an ear out for any odd jobs - folks around here always need a helping hand.

As you ask around, an elderly woman overhears and approaches. “If it's adventure you seek,” she whispers, “I've heard tales of strange lights in the Ruins. Some say it's elven magic awakening. But beware, the Forest has grown wild. You'll need guidance to reach the Ruins safely. Perhaps seek out the druids?

The old woman nods approvingly. “Wise choice, brave one. To find the druids, head into the Forest and look for ancient stone circles. They say leaving an offering of berries might catch their attention. Be cautious though, the fey are tricksome. Good luck on your quest, may the old gods watch over you.

You leave the Village behind and step into the Forest. The air grows cooler, filled with earthy scents. Towering trees block much of the sunlight, creating a mysterious atmosphere. You hear rustling in the undergrowth and birdsong overhead. The path ahead forks. Which direction will you choose?

As you venture deeper into the Forest, you stumble upon a peculiar sight: a group of tiny, glowing mushrooms arranged in a perfect circle. They seem to be… dancing? Suddenly, a small, mischievous fairy pops out from behind a tree, giggling uncontrollably. What do you do?

Suddenly, a portal opens in mid-air, and out tumbles a confused-looking wizard wearing mismatched socks and a robe covered in mathematical equations. He's juggling flaming potions while riding a unicycle backwards. “Oops! Wrong dimension again,” he mutters, before spinning away into the forest, leaving a trail of glitter.

You stumble upon a clearing where a group of squirrels are engaged in an intense acorn-based wrestling match. They're wearing tiny luchador masks and using a mushroom as a ring. A wise old owl in a referee outfit hoots to start each round, while chipmunks in the audience throw nuts and cheer wildly.

You encounter a bizarre sight: a group of trees having a heated argument about fashion. One pine tree is trying on different colored pinecones, while an oak tree critiques its choices. Follow the path of glowing mushrooms, but beware - not all that glows is friendly. Your first trial begins now.” They gesture, and a shimmering path appears before you.
